A new website, email address and session times
We launched this website so that people can find our sessions and learn about the Society. Our weekly session times are now published on the Sessions page, and you can write to us at info@
Our first annual report
We published our first annual report, which covers the period from 9 September 2024 to 30 June 2025, and lodged our Annual Information Statement and financial report for 2025 with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. You can read them on our ACNC record.
Our first year
In our first year we held regular meditation sessions and Dharma discussions at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney. We also came together for gatherings with chanting, reflection and sharing of the teachings, and members of the Society took part in a meditation retreat in Melbourne.
The Society is established
The Buddhist Society of Australia was established and registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
